Notes: All these ships were built by the Henry J. Kaiser Co., Inc., at Vancouver, Wash., or by the Oregon S.B. Corp. at Portland, Oregon. They are of an improved design, differing from converted ships of Bogue class, which were found difficult to land upon in light airs. Beam given above is width of flight deck. Admiralty Islands and Bougainville each took 76 days to build.

Bismarck Sea (CVE-95) - 21st February 1945. Kamikaze aerial attack off Iwo Jima.
Gambier Bay (CVE-73) - 25th October 1944. Concentrated surface gunfire from IJN Center Force during Battle off Samar.
Liscome Bay (CVE-56) - 24th November 1943. Submarine torpedo launched from IJN I-175 SW of Butaritari (Makin).
Ommaney Bay (CVE-79) - 4th January 1945. Kamikaze aerial attack in the Sulu Sea en route to Lingayen Gulf.
St. Lo (CVE-63) - 25th October 1944. Kamikaze aerial attack during Battle of Leyte Gulf.
