Notes: Smoke discharge is arranged through 2 funnels projecting from starboard side. This ship, though completed at Yokosuma Naval Yard, was actually laid down and launched at the Yokohama Dock Company`s establishment. In Sept., 1942, she was severaly damaged in action with Allied naval forces off the Solomon Islands, and her survival is doubtful.

Sunk in Battle of the East Solomons Aug 24, 1942 by planes from USS Saratoga, after four 454kg bomb hits. Sunk in 20:00.
